Helping McGill students on exchange to get life in Montreal easier.

Congratulations on considering studying at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. You will find an experience of being exchange
student here to be the most fascinating, rich and fun! We are sure youy will find friends fast and succeed in your academic
goals, but we are here to help you for free and any time.

Once you arrive

Whether you stay in student residence, apartment, friends or family, it is easy to find your school. McGill’s main campus is
located in
the middle of downtown, you can enter through gates at Milton and University or main gates at the intersection of Sherbrooke West
and McGill College Street. At the beginning of each semester Discover McGill event takes place, a fun way for new students to get familiar with campus and its habitants in not time.

Register for your courses

As an exchange student, you will be studying the same courses as local and international students. Go to your faculty office
where you can see an adviser who will help ypu to determine the appropriate classes to take, assist with future transfer of
credits and answer any other questions. Feel free to talk about anything with your adviser he will help you to take the most from
your McGill experience

Being on exchange

As an exchange student you might want to use S/U option for your courses. This will help you not to worry about your grades
and
enjoy life in Montreal. Please ask your adviser in advance if you wish to extend the terms of your exchange (i.e. from 6 months
to 1 year)
